It is that time of the year!!! My girls are all back to school, and I am sadder than I expected. All summer I couldn’t wait for them to get back to school, the countdown was on the minute school was out.
Summer was a crazy time, and a busy time; it didn’t leave me with much free time. The free time I did have was spent cleaning and not worrying of the responsibilities I had put on myself. This summer was a great learning experience for life over all. I feel like a child but this summer I learned more than I could have learned in a classroom.
Time management is key to success. I don’t know if I have already said this, or not, but managing time is a vital thing. Every day in June, I had some thing to do whether it had to do with Cheer Camp for one of my girls, or some type of test tutoring. June was by far the busiest month of my life so far. If I hadn’t had my planner in my phone, and a physical hard copy, I know for a fact I would have lost my mind.
Not everything goes as planned, so just go with the flow. I like most people had a list of things that I wanted to get done this summer, but it always kept getting pushed back. I don’t think I did anything that I wanted to do this summer, but this doesn’t mean I didn’t have a great summer with my girls. I wanted to go to the pool more and grab a tan; that worked for about a week or two and then my girls were tired of the pool and just plain bored. I originally wanted to focus on my blog, and Instagram feed more; yet I was constantly out and about doing some type of errands/cleaning. I could give you a list of things that I did this summer, but that would bore you.
Just because I was a busy bee all summer does not mean that I didn’t have fun. I took a trip to Nashville and New Orleans and by golly did I have fun! I tried new things. I took risks. I went out of my comfort zone. Do EVERYTHING!! That sounds so cliché, but it is the truth.
A lot has happened this summer, lots of living life and trying new things. Life isn’t easy, and it never goes as planned but thats the joy of it all. Until next time my friends.
